Australian designed, made and owned, starting at $4990 for a 1.5×3 CNC with a 1270x2770mm cutting area, the Trax is driven by a 20mm helical rack-and-pinion with the latest integrated driver, closed-loop 330 oz-in stepper motors and 15mm linear rails on the X and Y axes. Using the latest and most advanced motors, if it’s cutting aluminium or 45mm thick hardwood, this CNC will not disappoint. This is not a wheel-and-belt/chain setup. Achieve greater than 0.3mm accuracy across the whole length. These are classed as medium-duty CNCs, so not as capable as a 2.5-tonne CNC. That said, it packs a good punch. Capable of cutting timber, plastics and soft metal. Great 3d carving capability. The thickness of the cut is dictated by the router bit you are using. The longer the bit, the slower you need to go.
